Macquarie University Village

Macquarie University Village is all happening. Originally developed by Macquarie University in 2000 to fill the need for student accommodation (and house Olympians for the 2000 Olympics).

The Village is a vibrant and ideal venue for groups, it is the place to meet up, a place to study, the place for groups so stay together whilst utilising the excellent local attractions and lush expansive seven hectares of grounds that surround the accommodation. It provides high quality rooms, competitive rates, and the convenience of the new Macquarie University Sport and Recreation Centre just across the road. The ideal venue for sport minded groups Macquarie University Village is the gateway to some of Sydney’s finest sporting and leisure facilities.

Did we mention that it’s only a 10 min walk to Macquarie Centre, which has an ice rink, movie cinema and a shopping centre which has an abundance of retail outlets catering for those needing a fashion fix.

Macquarie University Village is set amongst 7 hectares of lush bush land surrounding a beautiful pond. And, if you really want to stretch out and relax, the Village also has large shaded areas over a few of its spacious Village greens, with outdoor tables and benches provided.

BBQs can be arranged for your group upon request. We have set menus or can customise a menu for your group.

The courts are available for individual use and for group competitions or leisure games. Our friendly staff can assist you with your booking.

The village has the facilities to run outdoor movies for your group to enjoy. It’s the best way to end your group’s busy day, have some fun, ice cream, pop corn and a good laugh under the stars. Our staff will be more than happy to assist you with your enquiry.

The Business Centre is equipped with a variety of technology and has computers set up in an ergonomically sound environment for your enjoyment. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is accessible by security access to all village guests upon request.

Broadband Internet can be accessed from most of the village rooms or from the on-site Business centre. The village staff will assist you with all you internet requirements.

laundry

Within the village there is a laundry that is coin operated. The Laundry can be accessed day and night and entry is only available to guest via security access.

Rates for large groups can be negotiated depending on the size of the group and the proposed length of stay.

For stays of 3 nights or more your room will be freshened up and towels changed every 3 nights.
A full service will be carried out every 6 nights.
Breakfast consists of a light continental package for $10.00 or a traditional hot breakfast for $15.00
Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 10am.
Accommodation is available from mid November through to early February.

Five bedroom apartments are based in two storey townhouses with living, dining and kitchen facilities shared by the five residents.

Each apartment has its own porch area, accessible via the front or back door.
Two fully upholstered two-seater lounges, an armchair, coffee table, dining table and six dining chairs are all provided within the apartment.
Basic crockery is provided
Individual bedrooms are lockable and contain a single bed, desk, built-in wardrobe, and their own ensuite including a toilet, basin and shower.

One bedroom apartments offer a relaxed completely private living option.
