RMIT Village Old Melbourne

Once the “Old Melbourne” hotel, this newly renovated Village provides an outstanding living environment for both local and international groups. It’s also within walking distance of Melbourne’s Victoria Markets for those seeking some of Melbourne’s finest vintage items and the café society of North Carlton and Lygon Street for some of the best coffee and cake you will ever taste.

All apartments are revamped and completely furnished featuring the latest materials and furniture. The 2005 refurbishment was designed by 5-star hotel designers Chhada Siembieda Australia - whose other projects include hotels and resorts in Hong Kong, India, Dubai and Fiji along with the W-Hotel, Sydney and the recently refurbished Sydney Hilton Hotel.

The village BBQ area is located pool side, a perfect location for your group’s BBQ. We have set menus or can customise a menu for your group.

Shared Spaces –The village boasts its own glass house, a stunning area shared by all guests we can also make these spaces available for private functions. The glass house is ideal for group get togethers, registrations, or a chill out area where groups can watch a movie, play games, conduct group activities or relax with a book and a cup of coffee. Shared spaces are equipped with a variety of technology, a pool table, games, music and furniture for your enjoyment.

The Business Centre is equipped with a variety of technology and has computers set up in an ergonomically sound environment for your enjoyment. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is accessible by security access to all village guests upon request.

RMIT Village Old Melbourne holds an elegant and sophisticated grand ballroom; it is the perfect venue for meetings, conferences and sit down dinners. The beautiful ballroom can accommodate 130 banquet style, or 300 theatre style. Catering and event design can be arranged to make your event a perfect one.

Broadband Internet can be accessed from most of the village rooms or from the on-site Business Centre. The village staff will assist you with all your internet requirements.

Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 10am.

The bathroom is accessible via the separate sleeping areas.
